Hey Klover fam, we know a lot of you are being affected by the big bank merge involving SunTrust and BB&T. We wanted to provide some insight into how this might relate to your Klover account.
BB&T and SunTrust are merging as one company, called Truist. This merge was first announced back in 2019, but is still currently happening for many customers. The merge has been released in waves, so it will affect different customers at different times. Prior to this merge, your paychecks and your checking account may have already been linked to Klover, and therefore, already verified by your bank. Now, when looking at your account, an error message may populate that reads the following:
"BB&T has begun migrating members’ accounts to Truist following the merger with SunTrust. Our integration for the new institution is currently in progress."
This merge may be preventing you from being able to receive an advance. BB&T and SunTrust need more time to get set up under their new management system, so the connection to your bank account may be poor during this time. I encourage you to reach out to your bank to see when the merge will be complete for your account. Once it is, please follow these steps to relink your bank account:
- Open your Klover app
- Head over to settings
- Reconnect Bank
- Remove Bank
- Follow the prompts
- Head back to settings to reconnect your new banking information
