VOIP is a way for people to communicate with each other using the Internet, instead of a telecommunications service carrier (such as Verizon or T-Mobile).
Last year, we blocked all VOIP numbers from being able to register with Klover. Our internal tech team ran various tests and investigated multiple scenarios of fraud. They came to the conclusion that VOIP numbers are often a factor when spotting fraudulent activity in our app.
That being said, we currently don't have the option to change phone numbers in our app. We also have never allowed the same personal information to be used on multiple accounts. If you are a customer who was able to register with a VOIP number in the past, and are now unable to access the app, you may need further assistance from our support team.
From the entire Customer Experience department, we are so sorry for the inconvenience this has caused some of our loyal customers. If you would like to share your feedback on this, please fill out our survey below ----->
If you need assistance or believe you are receiving a VOIP message in error, please reach out to our team by selecting the "Help" button in the bottom right hand corner of this screen.
